Cat Statues are the Enemy

| | | |

I know I haven’t been posting all month — we’ve been a little busy, you know, moving and stuff, but I thought I’d share an update from our cross country move. It’s no secret that Charlotte isn’t a fan of cats. This week we learned that she isn’t a fan of cat statues either. We arrived at Curtis’ grandparent’s house last Saturday morning, and as we were walking to the door Charlotte noticed their cat statue in the window right away and started growling. At first we thought she had spotted their actual cat, but it turned out that the cat had made herself scarce as soon as we pulled up. The whole time we were here, Charlotte could not take her eyes off that statue. She could definitely smell that there was a cat living here, and I guess she just thought the statue was that cat she was smelling. Curtis tried to pick up the statue to show her it was harmless, but as you can see, she would have none of that. She also took great offense to us petting it.

I hope you all are having a great holiday season, we’ll get around to posting eventually once we’re moved in and have wifi!
