GoPro through Bryce Canyon
I have another GoPro video to share, and today it’s Bryce Canyon National Park’s turn in the spotlight! Here is just a short compilation of the clips we took while watching the sunrise at Sunrise Point, then hiking on the Peek-a-Boo loop trail. I’m kind of amazed at myself and at what I was willing to do for an adventure back then – I actually got up and stood for 20 minutes in 20 degree weather?? I hiked through snow, ice, and muddy slush – and downhill at that?? Where is that kind of strength and adventurous spirit today with highs in the 40’s??? Haha!
I think our Utah trip last spring is our favorite trip we’ve taken together. We packed every day full of fun, hiking, and sightseeing. But if we were to take the exact same trip again – drive on the same roads and visit the same parks – we could seriously hike all different trails than last time and still have a great time and see so many new things. In fact, I wouldn’t mind it at all right now – I’m seriously missing the great Southwest, with the cool rock formations and those gorgeous red rocks. And to think that even though we spent 10 whole days driving through Utah, we only went about ⅓ of the way into the state – there is still so much we haven’t seen!
Okay, I should probably stop gushing about how great the SW region is and get back to enjoying the SE. For now, just enjoy this short video – I’m giving it the alternate title “Why you NEED to visit Bryce Canyon in the winter!”
