DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun

Visiting the DeGrazia Gallery / Tucson, AZ / November 13, 2015

For about as long as we’ve been in Tucson, our friend Mitchell has talked up the DeGrazia art gallery, telling us we just have to go see it. We always intended to, but never got around to it. He should have known that all it would take was planting a letterbox on the grounds to get us to go for a visit! We were so glad we did — it’s totally free, so honestly we have no excuse for not getting to it earlier! There are different exhibits that come in and out throughout the year, so if we were to return to Tucson it would be always be worth a return trip. Although, the special temporary featured artist exhibit was a little different this time around, lots of unique artwork featuring Barbie dolls glued to canvas…not exactly our taste, but I know some people must enjoy that. 🙂

As for the main gallery, we absolutely loved seeing Ettore DeGrazia’s work! Much of it is centered around Southwestern scenery and cultures, and we even recognized some of the locations he painted. We ended up buying a print of the San Xavier Mission so that we can always have that memory hanging on the walls of wherever we make our home.
