A little room make over!

Recently my sister and I traded bedrooms — after years of having the room with the biggest closet, I decided that I wanted to downsize and let her enjoy the extra space. To make my new room feel more like mine, I did a little new room make over for $30! Before, the room was lime green, which wasn’t exactly my taste. My old bedroom was painted a more earth-tone green and I was ready for a change. Right now, I’m loving the bright and warm pink, salmon, and coral tones that make me think of warmer places as winter is drawing near. Hopefully it will actually trick my mind into thinking it’s warmer since my bedroom is in the basement, which is notoriously the coldest area of the house!
I knew I wanted about this shade of pink, but the name of this exact color sold me on it right away: Tucson Sun. Not sure why…maybe something to do with the fact that my boyfriend happens to live in Tucson? Who knows! 😉
Here’s a breakdown of money spent:
• 1 can of paint (called “Tucson Sun”): $30 from Lowes
…that was it 🙂 I traded comforters and pillow cases with my sister, and just made everything else fit in!
Top picture: My pink and white picket fence bookshelf (it doesn’t match this room as well as it did my last, but I can’t give it up!), a Wizard of Oz picture, some of my favorite pictures of my boyfriend (Curtis) and I from high school, and the stuffed animals that made the cut 😉
Bottom picture: Bed, desk, purple swivel chair, floor lamp, and my window lined with memorabilia and a LOT more pictures of Curtis and I… pretty self explanatory!
I love this place!! I’ve never felt more organized in my life. Hopefully it motivates me to accomplish lots of marketing for my Massage business and homework assignments for my college classes!
